The Meaning of Life

What is the meaning of life?
One of the first and the most important questions that man has ever asked in the history of our world is what is the meaning of life? Many people across the world have pondered this question ever since man has formed into civilization. Indeed, this question has befuddled many philosophers and thinkers in our day. Without getting too much into my own religious views, I will honor everyone with what I consider the meaning of life to be. I kind of went on a bunch of different tangents when I wrote this.
I believe that the meaning of life can be different for everyone. The meaning can change for each person based on the things they have done, the things they have seen, the environment they are grown up in, and their separate individual interests.  The meaning of life is for you to discover what you want to do for the rest of your life. It is for you to understand how you want to act for the rest of your life. How you want to look when you grow up.
I also think that you can look at it this way. If I had to say what the meaning of life is in one word, it would be “grow”. In life we all need to grow physically, mentally, and emotionally. That is why we are here on this planet; that is why we are faced with such difficult choices in our lives, and how are you supposed to grow without facing difficult choices. For example, why do you think that metal is transformed into refined steel by beating it up with a hammer? You would think that hitting it would make it weaker, but it only makes it stronger. We are like that metal, we need to be beaten up, we need to be cast down before we can be lifted up. That is the true meaning of life. If any of you have different opinions to me own, please feel free to share them.

The Center of the Universe

Today I will answer the question, "Why did humans used to believe that the Earth is the center of the Universe?
Despite the obvious scientific beliefs of the time, there were other key reasons that led humans to believe that they were the center of the universe. The first and most important, being that all humans begin with, to some degree, an innate feeling of hubris, or extreme pride. Most of us will deny this aspect of our character, but it is there all the less. I can imagine that if you took away all the scientific knowledge that we have today, most of us would probably end up believing that everything revolves around the Earth. Even I can confess up to a bit of pride myself. I signed my name on my folder for Economics and Spanish as King Benjamin, and the fact that my blogger name is kingblogger1, is even more incriminating evidence that I am prideful. If you believe that you are a perfect person, why don't you take a little pride test to find out the truth? The first time you see a hobo, a drunkard, or some other low life character, compare yourself to that person. Do you think you are better than that person? Do you think yourself superior in any way, or smarter in any way. The answer is probably yes. In all reality though, that person was probably at one time a good, intelligent person, but was just faced with very difficult circumstances. Most of the time. Another way to test if you are prideful is to just see if you buy expensive clothes or jewlery. That is a sure sign that you are trying to look better than you are.

So, my point is that even though we no longer believe that the Earth is physically the center of the universe, we still have the mind set that we are the most important part of the universe. It is simply human nature.
